Nifty New Swag! – Linda Poitevin

Nifty New Swag!

Check these out! They arrived in yesterday's mail…and are they cool, or what?

I'm always on the lookout for things I can brand and give away to readers. For me, the hallmark of really great swag is that it's something that readers will find useful, want to keep, and (ideally) be able to use where other people might see and comment on it (spurring a conversation about books and perhaps winning me a new reader, because I totally have ulterior author motives here 😉 ).

Also, I really, really, really hate to see things end up in landfill.

Which is why these tickle my trying-to-be-somewhat-green fancy so much.

Because how much more useful can swag be, amIright? 😀

Of course, that's just my opinion, and I would love to know yours! As a reader, is this something you would like to receive from an author as swag? Would you keep it? Use it? Treasure it forever and ever? 😉

Inquiring author minds want to know, so let me know what think below, and I'll send one of my brand new USB drives to a lucky commenter!*

P.S. While I love the idea of having a giveaway for readers that's completely unique to me, a person really can't have enough storage devices in this era of technology…so if you're a writer interested in using this idea for your own brand, check out the bulk USB drives at USB Memory Direct.  They have loads of selection there, so happy shopping! 😉 (The ones I got are here.)

*This will be a random draw, open internationally. You must be 18 or older to enter. Draw date will be midnight (Eastern time) September 5, 2017.

You can never have too many USB keys. Plus with USB keys you could load sample chapters or a free story on there, or any promo material, so they get a little teaser as well as a handy USB.

I love getting branded USB sticks. They’re so handy and useful! I love getting them, and would have quite the collection if hubby didn’t always take them and lose them, lol. Are they blank, or are you adding a small doc to them about you and your books?

An awesome idea. I am always on the lookout for more of your books why not a useful tool as well.

I think swag like this is awesome.
And you could even put a sample chapter of your latest book on it to entice readers.

USB drives are a fantastic idea. Like you said, they’re useful and less likely to be thrown away.In this era, when most computers don’t have an optical drive, they’re a handy way to move things. I still have one from when Regretsy was a site, a hellaphant.

These are awesome. I love to put movies on flash drives so I’ll have them when I want but they don’t take up space on my tablet. I also love autographed items, bookmarks, postcards, just anything autographed. I have a special book that I put them in.

What a great idea, I didn’t even know you could get these personalized! I’m addicted to these little buggers (as well as the entire stationary department over at Staples) and would love to have one 🙂

This is something I would use. I’m always looking for my USB sticks, and I’ve used large ones for backing up work.
